Carys Wood, aged 18, who is a trumpet player and is from southwest Wales, has been supported by the trust, with awards contributing to equipment, teaching, and travel fees - and she said it was "awesome" to be playing at the evening's event. "Pursuing music is often costly," she stated. She is now studying at the prestigious music academy, and added that "each individual ought to be given the possibility" to develop their musical skills. A Family Affair Her younger sibling Eliza, aged 11, who plays the euphonium, will likewise attend the Abbey. "It's unbelievable that I get to perform here in front of so many notable figures," she said. Among the guests will be people from various age groups.
