The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
